National ALP Conference December 2018
The ALP motion acknowledges the climate emergency but is not actually a declaration. We assume the ALP can’t do that from opposition, but the ALP could propose a declaration of climate emergency though. Ged Kearney herself has signed the statement of support for a Climate Emergency Declaration (see Victoria section below).

Anyone keen to talk to their local MPs and ask them to sign the petition or the Statement of Support? Even if they are not supportive, you will be making them aware that a call for a Climate Emergency Declaration is a ‘thing’.
